But luckily he was rescued by an amazing couple who have welcomed him into their family and is now a loved family member! Sneak peek of Ellie's 1st birthday cake smash session! I just love this family. I have seen them several times now and sweet little Ellie and her best furry 16-year-old side kick, Atti, just get cuter and cuter. This session was all about Ellie turning one year old! Justin and Dash met when Dash was 5 weeks old and they have been BFFs ever since, Dash picked Justin - following him around while all the other puppies ran and played. Now we are getting ready to say our final good-bye, one of the hardest things ever.

 

Sneak peek of the Wilder family's photo shoot. This momma really tugged at my heartstrings. She contacted me wanting to have a photo session with her newborn baby and her fur baby, who is having some medical issues. This new mom was determined to get some photos and met me on an early morning session, drove over an hour to get there with a 2 week old baby and was a huge sport at getting in the truck and sitting on the ground- even after just having a C-section. This is super mom for sure! Dad did awesome as well and two very helpful family members who helped to lift Eli into the truck and helped mom with new baby. Amazing job, family!

Yes!  As soon as we get the okay for King County to go into phase 2, I am confident I can capture images of your fur babies and immediate family members safely!  If this pandemic has taught me anything, it is to not take for granted the ones we love most and to not postpone capturing all the love and moments we have with our families.

All of my sessions are outdoors, in fresh open air.  My location choices offer privacy and open space- I don't have any sessions at busy or crowded parks.  I will always be standing a safe distance from clients and their pups and of course, will be wearing a mask.  Take a look at all of the precautions I will be taking to keep you and your loved ones safe, while still being able to capture memories and moments you can treasure.  I can't wait to see all my furry clients and their families again soon!!

Happy tails update on rescue dog-Cobain!

I photographed Cobain for Dog Gone Seattle back in February of 2018. I rarely hear about where the dogs I photograph end up, but once in a while, an adopter will reach out to me since I had photographed their pup. That was the case with Danielle- Cobain's new mom! I just love her story and hearing about how loved and happy Cobain is now- so I am going to share with you all what she shared with me. I think we could all use a happy ending right about now :)

"My name is Danielle and I adopted Cobain in September 2018 after going through a sudden (to me) divorce and subsequent move to Port Townsend from San Diego earlier in the year. Although I gained 3 (yes three!) cats in the divorce, I'm really a dog person at heart and was looking for a buddy to do things with. The photos of Cobain were SO striking and I although I initially thought "whoa, he looks like an intense dude," I just knew I had to meet him.

Since then, I have moved back to Northern California and had additional life twists and turns. From Cobain, I've learned patience, boundaries, and the ability to have compassion for the wounded parts of myself I thought were unlovable. I joke that he is my "Naughty Angel Baby" because he is really all of those things to me and I love him so much. Once we can save up enough to buy a house, we're hoping to move back to Washington where Cobain can have a big yard of his own...and maybe even get a doggie sister.

If you're wondering about his breed, we did his DNA and it came back 50% American Pit Bull Terrier, 34% Rat Terrier, and 16% Doberman. "

 

 

I am so glad I was able to squeeze in a few cherry blossom sessions before the stay-at-home order. Look how beautiful these trees are! And look how adorable sweet Happy the Beagle is! I photographed Happy on the Valentines Truck, but of course this princess girl needed some photos with the beautiful pink cherry trees as well. We had this whole area of the park to ourselves and were able to get some darling pics of a darling girl. Great job, Happy!

Introducing adorable March Pet-of-the-Month over at Eastside Dog, Kelly!! What a little doll this 3-year-old Dachshund is! She has the softest fur and was such a pro at her photo shoot- looking as cute-as-can-be on the little dog sofa. Sneak peek of the Adiletta family's photo shoot at Wild Hearts Farm! This family welcomed an ADORABLE 8-week-old border collie puppy, Sarek, to the pack and needed some fur baby pictures and updated family pictures with the new puppy! They were looking for indoor options since the weather has been so rainy. I love that they picked Wild Hearts Farm- one of my favorite photo spots- with a beautiful indoor studio and amazing outdoor space as well.

This family did amazing and their dogs were incredibly well behaved! Great job, family!!

Sneak peek of Cooper and Jack's photo shoot on the Valentine Truck. This thoughtful husband contacted me and wanted to set up a session on the Valentines Truck for his wife, their 4-month old son and pup-Cooper as a Valentines gift. How sweet is this!! They are the cutest family- and the dog squeaky toy even got some smiles from baby, Jack! Great job, family!!

Sneak peek of Buffy's Valentines Truck Session! Ok, I love all dogs and think all of them are adorable- but an 8-week-old Sheepadoodle (Poodle/Old English Sheepdog) puppy- SUPER CUTE! Sneak peek of Coco at his Valentines Truck photo session! This handsome 5-year-old had his session on a VERY rain day. The rain was not a problem at all though- since the Valentine Truck can be parked under a large carport at the park where the session takes place. Coco stayed nice and dry! We were able to get some adorable pictures of this sweetheart and one will be displayed over at Eastside Dog pet store in Redmond for the month of February since Coco is the February Dog-of-the-Month! Sneak peek of Mayo and Haku's photo shoot! This session has special meaning to me. I photographed Mayo (the black dog) 2 years ago when he was at Seattle Humane. I take a lot of photos for various rescues and rarely hear about where the dogs end up.

Mayo's mom said she had seen then picture I had taken of him and decided he was the pup for her. She adopted him and contacted me, now two years later, to take their family photos! I can't tell you how heart warming it is to see a dog I photographed at a shelter, no home of his own, go to being a loved family member who is included in the family photos. AWESOME job, Giridaran family!

Sneak peek of Hella and Freya's photo shoot at McMurtrey's Red-Wood Christmas Tree Farm! These two almost 6-month-old Bull Mastiff puppies showed up ready for some fun! Their mom and I wrangled these huge puppies for their first ever Holiday Photo shoot and 1/2 birthday photos! I just loved their sweet personalities. And we had a beautiful foggy, frosty morning for their photos. Both girls did an awesome job!!

Sneak peek of Bread and Crumb's photo shoot. How absolutely adorable are their names first of all?! This sweet family wanted to have a special session to honor the bond they have with their two darling senior Beagles. It wasn't hard at all to capture the love these two have for their two pups. I enjoyed meeting all 4 of them and capturing images they can hold onto of their kind and loving dogs.

Sneak peek of Parker Eden's photo shoot! This 2.5 year old Cairn Terrier is nothing but fun! This super active guy had a great session on a beautiful evening in Kirkland.  And look at that darling little face-too cute! Sneak peek of Chanel and Teddy's photo shoot! This loving family wanted to have special session for their 16-year-old girl, Chanel! We snuck in adorable 9-month-old brother, Teddy, as well. We met on a beautiful evening in Woodinville and had the best time making sure Chanel felt like the princess she is and capturing memories of both the pups their parents can treasure for a lifetime. Sneak peek of Coco's photo shoot! This beautiful 3-year-old girl came a few days after her sister, Sheba, for her own photo session at lovely McAuliffe Park in Kirkland! Coco has the sweetest personality! Even though she may look like a strong, tough girl, she is a big sweetheart. What a gentle soul.

Sneak peek of Jet's photo shoot at beautiful McAuliffe Park in Kirkland! This special boy is not only the August Dog-of-the-Month over at Eastside Dog, but he is also available for adoption through Big Dog Rescue Project! I can personally say, this 1-year-old Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix is sweet, adorable and according to his foster dad, lots of fun with energy for all your activities!

Sneak peek of sweet Molly, a 6-year-old Goldendoodle, having some fun on her photo shoot over at McAuliffe Park.  This girl was all about the ball and we got some fun action shots before tiring her out enough to get some posed pics of this darling girl. Molly loves her family- especially the two-legged kiddos- and has a sweet and fun personality. Molly is also the August Pet-of-the-Month over at Friends Forever pet store in Kirkland. Great job, Molly! 

 

Daisy and I are back from our weekend getaway and photo shoot for a wonderful dog-friendly condo down at the beach in Westport! We stayed at My Westport by the Sea Condos and it was fabulous-a nice and spacious condo, beautifully decorated and just steps from the beach! Daisy and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun, relaxing getaway only a few hours away!  Here are some pictures of my own girl enjoying the beach and some of the lovely complex!

Sneak peek of Callie's photo shoot! This adorable 8-year-old and her dad met me on a drizzy morning over in Woodinville. That didn't bother Callie at all though- she ran through the tall grass and sat beautifully for squeeky toys. Callie is also the July Pet-of-the-Month over at Eastside Dog in Redmond. I was so inspired by this sweet family and their love for their 8-year-old Golden Retriever, Liffey. They asked me to capture some memories for them and document the love they have for their girl. It was easy to see the love all three of them had for each other on a beautiful evening over in Woodinville. Great job, Liffey!

Sneak peek of Kai's photo shoot! This 2-year-old Lab came ready for a good time! This active boy did a great job and was so curious and fun. He is also the Pet-of-the-Month for July over at Friends Forever Pet Food - Dooley's Dog House in Kirkland. Now the hard part will be choosing one photo to display for the month of July of this handsome boy! Great job, Kai!

 

Sneak peek of Henrietta's photo shoot! This active 1-year-old needed a photo shoot to document her first birthday! We got some cute posed shots and then she needed to get some wiggles out and run! Such a fun and active girl at the perfect Woodinville location with lots of space for walks and fetching a ball. Great job, Henrietta!

 

 These two girls are amazing- not only because they are cute and sweet as can be- but also because they are both service dogs! I had a fabulous time photographing them in beautiful Kirkland park on a warm summer evening. We even did a little special shot of Viera turning 1-year-old! Great job, Viera and Libby!

 

Sneak peek of Romeo and Missy's photo shoot! Brace yourself, because these two little poodles could not be any cuter! They did an amazing job posing and sitting on the pint-sized props and were as sweet as could be.  We met at McAuliffe Park- one of my favorites!- for a beautiful evening session.  These two had me smiling the entire time with their adorable looks and cute personalities.  Great job, Romeo and Missy!

 

Friends Forever Pet Food in Kirkland and Eastside Dog in Redmond are both celebrating a pet every month that I will photograph and then display a framed image in their store for the month.  These are the two chosen photos for these two adorable pups!  

This month fun-loving Sputnik was the winner over at Friends Forever and sweet 1-year-old Ares took the spot over at Eastside Dog. These two have a few similarities as well as being fabulous pups their parents adore.

 

I highly recommend visiting these terrific pet stores to stock up on all the food, treats and toys your best friend needs... and... maybe your fur kiddo will be featured as their Pet-of-the-Month in the future! Great job, Sputnik and Ares!

 

 

 

 

 

I am a big lover of all dogs- but I do adore pugs!  I have my own pug girl, Daisy, and just love their sweet nature and disposition.  I had a great time photographing these two- Comrade the calm and dignified older brother along with his little 1-year-old sister, Clementine.  They brought a smile to my face most of the session and were just the cutest.  Enjoy some of the highlights from their session on a lovely evening over in Woodinville.

 

As some of you may know, I am photographing a Dog-of-the-Month for several local pet stores.  This gorgeous 1-year-old Rottweiler is Ares- the June Dog-of-the-Month over at Eastside Dog in Redmond.  Daisy and I love this pet store, their friendly staff and amazing choices of toys, food, harnesses and more.  It is a must stop when Daisy and I are walking in Redmond Town Center.  

 

The June winner is going to be Ares- with his striking good looks and such a sweet personality. I met Ares and his mom over at McAuliffe Park for their photo session to document this incredibly sweet boy.  He was a true champ and was willing to work for treats!  I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this handsome boy and can't wait to see one of his photos displayed over at Eastside Dog for the month of June.  Great job, Ares!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

How absolutely adorable are these two sisters- Bailey and Indi!  They were such a cute pair and we had a great time at the park getting photos.  These two girls really got in the swing of things and I was able to capture some images their parents can always treasure of their two girls on a lovely Spring evening.  Great job, Bailey and Indi!

 

I met Poppy, a gorgeous German Shepherd mix, along with her mom and dad on a beautiful evening over at McAuliffe Park in Kirkland.  I wanted to get some great images for her family who own Eastside Dog over in Redmond. If you haven't been to their store, Daisy and I highly recommend it!  They have a wonderful assortment of toys, leashes, food and pretty much anything you could possibly want for your pup! They are so friendly and welcoming and always offer us treats.  It is a favorite place for my own pug, Daisy.  They are located in Redmond Town Center, which Daisy and I love to take walks at and, of course, we always have to make a stop into Eastside dog for some toys and sniffs!

I am going to be photographing a dog-of-the-month for them each month that will be displayed over at the store.  We started off with a session for their own dog- to kick things off and give them the experience of a pet photo session.  Poppy did amazing and was such a great listener!  With her good looks, perfect evening light and incredible listening skills- our session together was a breeze!  Great job, Poppy!

Maja is a special girl- she is the May Dog-of-the-Month over at Friends Forever in Kirkland.  Each month the owner, Djordje, will be picking a winner for this special photo session! Head on into the store for more details. Our May winner, Maja, along with her family, met me on a beautiful Spring evening over at Brightwater for her photo shoot.  She was such a sweet girl and only 7-months-old.  What a sweet and gentle girl who did amazing!  I really enjoyed her. 

 

I cannot express how much I love working at Wild Hearts Farm.  This is such a charming venue- with both a beautifully decorated indoor studio as well as so many perfect spaces outside- the white barn, the vintage truck, the pond... I could go on and on- that I am beyond thrilled when clients want to book a session here.  

 

This adorable pet session, along with a pregnancy reveal, was no exception.  I met this sweet couple, their two dogs and two cats on a lovely March morning on the farm.  We started indoors in the studio for the pregnancy reveal image which was to include both dogs and cats.  The rusty iron bed and vintage style sofa were the perfect backdrop for their pregnancy announcement photo!  

 

We worked on getting some great individual portraits of the cats and dogs on the antique bed and then moved outside with the dogs.  The kitties got to take a break! The dogs were great sports for getting some portraits done outside in the vintage truck and in front of the barn and pond.

 

This is truly why I love doing what I do- helping people to capture some gorgeous images of the animals in their life is something I am so excited and thankful to be able to do.  This momma-to-be mentioned getting prints of each of the animals to hang in their sweet baby daughter's nursery and this makes my heart happy.  Enjoy a few of my favorites from this adorable session!

 

This sweet senior boy is one loved pup.  His mom wanted to have a special session for him to honor their deep bond.  We met at beautiful McAuliffe Park in Kirkland to capture some images she can treasure of her sweet boy.  After getting some family photos, we worked on capturing some portraits that really showed Jake's sweet and loving personality.  We ended our session with the two of them spending a little one on one time together and showing me their high-five trick!  Great job, Jake! 

           

Look who is going to be a big sister! Sweet 15-year-old Atti was amazing on her photo session. We had a wonderful late afternoon session over at Brightwater Environmental Center documenting not only how fabulous she is, but that she will soon be a big sister! This girl was a real pro and happily posed for her pics as her mom held out a ball to her.  We took lots of breaks and let her chase the ball for being such a great model. Good girl, Atti!

 

I met sweet Humphrey and his mom on a chilly morning over at McAuliffe Park in Kirkland. Have I mentioned that McAuliffe Park is one of my absolute favorite spots to meet for sessions?  I adore the wooden barn they have and depending on when you go, the community gardens are lovely.  Even though it was a cold morning, this didn't slow down this active boy one bit!  After doing quite a few laps around the place, I was able to capture some darling images that really captured Humphrey's sweet and fun-loving spirit.  Here are some of the highlights from his session.  Good dog, Humphrey!

 

It is not often that I get to photograph a stunning horse during a family session!  Beautiful horse, Navani, was a true pro and happily munched on grass during most of her session.  I had a wonderful time with this sweet family in a beautiful Redmond Park.  Great job, family!

This was such a fun family session with two adorable girls, an energetic and equally adorable Boxer named Quinn, and their two marvelous parents.  We enjoyed all the farm had to offer- sunflower fields, the barn, pond, hammock area under the trees and beautiful lawn areas.  Is it time to make your family memories that you can hold onto for a lifetime?

 

Now is a great time to schedule those Fall photo shoots!  The colors are beautiful, the days are misty and dream-like- especially in one of our most beautiful spots up near North Bend.  If you are looking for the perfect time of year to capture those memories- now is the time!

This sweet girl was about to turn 1-year-old, so of course she needed a photo shoot to document this!!  I had a fabulous time meeting this loving family on a warm summer evening and photographing sweet Goose for them.  Good dog, Goose!

 

     

What a lovely family session we had for this sweet couple and their dog, Lola.  I love having sessions over at Wild Hearts Farm in Tacoma- there are so many opportunities for great moments on this beautiful and picturesque farm.  A how great is the newest addition to their farm- a vintage Ford Truck!  I loved capturing these memories they will be able to hold onto forever. 

 

What a great studio session with the not only adorable, but incredibly smart and obedient- Mollie!  Mollie made things so easy and fun.  Way to go, Mollie!

How adorable is Charlie?!  This little Corgi mix was such a happy and sweet boy on his photo shoot.  Those little legs, those ears- cuteness overload!!

  

This session was a very special one- 12-year-old Bondi is nearing the end of his life and his parents wanted to have a special session just for him.  When we arrived, we were greeted with snowfall, which made for some magical images. The love Bondi's parents feel for him was undeniable and we spent our session together in the meadow capturing images of such a sweet and kind boy.  We snuck brother, Rolex, in for a few shots as well.  

 

Sweet Sophie was such a good girl at her photo session at Wild Hearts Farm.  This senior sweetie was willing to lay on couches, climb in canoes, pose by the barn and climb into a chair without a moments hesitation.  What a pleasure it was photographing her!  She was so photogenic on her session that one of her photos was published in Dog's Today Magazine!  Way to go, Sophie!
